Six people were killed Tuesday when a passenger train derailed in Indonesia's East Java province, an official said. The train was traveling from Purwokerto to the Jember district when it ran off the tracks in the Madiun district, said Bambang Ervan, a spokesman for the Transportation Ministry. The number of injured and the cause of the accident was not immediately known but the government would investigate, he was quoted as saying by the German Press Agency "DPA."
