The Saudi embassy here has issued a Directory for Saudis who are planning to visit Lebanon during the summer season or other Saudis who are already staying in Lebanon. The Directory which is available at Rafiq Hariri International Airport in Beirut or other places, has drawn the attention of the Saudis to the importance of adherence to the regulations of the hosting country and to respect the country's traditions. The Directory called for keeping the important documents like the passport in a safe place and registering them at the citizens' affairs department at the Saudi embassy in addition to obtaining entry visa from the Lebanese embassy in the Kingdom for their companions like the maid, driver or nurse who should have a valid residence. The Saudis are advised to avoid dealing with suspected parties or authorities and avoid falling into the trap of thieves, it advised. "They should also avoid participation in any illegal activity, and it would better for them to avoid carrying large sums of money because this money may be stolen. Credit cards or cards of automatic telling machines are preferable," the directory said. "As regards real estate affairs including sale or purchase of buildings, the embassy urged the Saudis to consult the embassy's solicitor or other reliable solicitors before signing any deal. The Saudis are advised to avoid suspected places and gatherings that may undermine the country's security. In case of any problem, like losing the passport, the Saudis are advised to report to the embassy," the directory said.
