As summer vacation approaches, Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued its annual travel instructions and warnings to Saudis traveling abroad. From warning Saudi nationals against traveling with their domestic workers to talking to security agencies while being detained without their lawyers present, the ministry will distribute its instructions to travelers at airports, ports and borders. The instructions and warnings can also be found on the ministry's website www.mofa.gov.sa “These instructions are issued annually to help facilitate Saudi nationals travel abroad and to protect them and their families from any difficulties or hardship they might face abroad,” said Osamah Al-Nogali, head of the media department at the ministry. Nogali explained that these instructions came after repetitive incidents the ministry and Saudi embassies faced with Saudi nationals abroad. Among the instructions was the list of countries Saudi nationals require visas to visit and the procedures required to conduct when a passport is lost or stolen. The ministry called upon all Saudis to respect the law and the rules of the country they intend to visit and that requires him/her to head to the embassy of that country in Saudi Arabia and learn all about the these rules. The ministry warned Saudi nationals from talking to children in person and online and setting meetings with them, warned the ministry's website. Keeping family disagreements within the family was also advised. “In some countries even when the accuser drops the case against a family member the court case will continue in the name of public interest,” said the instructions. Advice for business travelers was also presented among the instructions such as referring to the business regulations in the Kingdom before heading abroad to sign a deal and having a lawyer review all documents before signing any contract. “Saudi nationals should remember that the Kingdom's embassies are like a home to all Saudi citizens and in case of having any problem they should not hesitate to contact the nearby embassy,” said Nogali. __
