Governor of Kuwait's Ahmadi Governorate, Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, expressed on Sunday his joy for being in Devon city to get a first-hand look at municipal efforts and facilities in France. Speaking to KUNA, the Governor said that his visit to France aimed at gaining better understanding at how French provinces and cities handled daily environmental and service-related matters. He said that during his four-day visit to the cities of Devon and Bourg-en-Bresse, he would be meeting with officials to discuss methods for treating waste and drinking water, draining swamps, water management, lighting in public areas, and city organization. Sheikh Ibrahim added that his visit came following that of Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in April, during which the French side called on Kuwait to make a visit and see the localities, especially cities close to the French-Swiss border that were popular with Kuwaitis and Gulf citizens. The governor revealed the intention of signing a twinning agreement between Kuwait's Ahmadi City and the French cities of Devon and Bourg-en-Bresse during this visit. Such an agreement will help Kuwaitis who visit this part of France, he concluded.
