One freight train ran into another in Mexico's Sinaloa state Tuesday, killing at least 12 people, authorities said. The collision occurred in a rail yard, Mexico City's La Prensa newspaper reported. One of the victims was a private security guard and several others appeared to have been illegal migrants from Central and South America stowed away on the trains, La Prensa said. At least four others were injured in the 2:20 a.m. crash, the United Press International reported. CNN reported the attorney general's office said the operator of a train loaded with corn was unaware another train was being repaired on the same tracks and could not stop in time.
