Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved construction of the building of King Abdullah Institute for Nanotechnology in Riyadh's Technology Valley in accordance with best world expertise in this field of technology with financing by businessman Mohammad bin Hosain Ala'amoodi. In the name of all staff of King Saud University, Dr. Abdullah Alo'thman, the Director of King Saud University, thanked the king for his great support for the university and King Abdullah Institute for Nanotechnology in particular. In a statement on this occasion, Dr. Alo'thman highlighted support by the king for the nano research including his personal donation for this purpose to a number of universities including King Saud University which responded to this donation by establishing the nano program which became King Abdullah Institute for Nanotechnology. Dr. Alo'thman reviewed progress achieved in the field of nano technology by the university's institute adding that the building of the institute will occupy an area of 8000 square meters.
