Addressing a number of businesswomen and university staff and students in a meeting held today at the Commercial and Industry Chamber within the framework of her current visit to the Kingdom, Napolitano said that Saudi woman is today occupying a distinguished status witnessed by the whole world. She stressed that economic relations between the Kingdom and U.S. is a model that should be followed, noting that the U.S. considers the Kingdom as its first partner in the Middle East region where the trade exchange between the two countries closes to SR 200 billion. The visiting senior U.S. official also confirmed that her several-days visit to Saudi Arabia, which aims at strengthening economic ties between a number of American cities and the Kingdom through her meetings with a number of Saudi businesswomen and businessmen to exchange ideas on common interests and to encourage business partnerships. Napolitano also expressed her satisfaction that her current visit helps her to brief directly on the political visions and economic and investment capacities of the Kingdom and the culture of the Saudi people, especially when taking into account the role played by the Kingdom at the international arena, politically and economically.
