Presided over by its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Majlis Al-Shura held its 28th ordinary session here today. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Secretary General of Majlis Al-Shura Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi said that Majlis Al-Shura approved a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of Islamic affairs and endowments between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the State of Qatar. Majlis Al-Shura also approved a request for ratification of a draft rules of origin for trade preferences among the member states of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Dr. Al-Ghamdi added. Dr. Al-Ghamdi also said that Majlis Al-Shura approved a draft framework agreement for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, livestock and fisheries between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Majlis Al-Shura also approved a report on draft memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Dr. Al-Ghamdi added.
