Israeli Gunboats shelled today Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of the Gaza Strip. The Israeli Gunboats that patrol the area round-the-clock, fired dozens of shells toward fishing boats anchored off the coast of Sudaniah and Al Waha areas, the north-west of Gaza city, Palestinian sources reported. The Israeli bombardment inflicted material damages to some boats. There have been no reported casualties, the sources said. The Israeli occupation navy target fishing boats on a daily basis, in its continual attempts to prevent fishermen from practicing their sole profession that supports their families. Fishing has proved to be a dangerous vocation for these fishermen, claiming several lives of martyrs due to Israeli aggressive attacks. These attacks also caused serious injuries to several others and resulted in the kidnapping of many fishermen over the past years.
