The Israeli artillery bombardment killed today two Palestinian citizens in the town of Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip, Palestinian News Agency "WAFA" reported. The news agency quoted Palestinian medical sources as saying that Israeli tanks stationed on the northern border of the "territories of the 48" opened fire with machine guns and fired several rounds towards a group of citizens next to Dugit colony in the North-West of the town. The sources added that ambulances rushed to the scene to lift the martyrs, but Israeli forces opened fire towards them and prevented them from approaching and picking the fatalities. In the meantime, the Israeli gunboats continued shelling targeting fishing boats off the coast of the Gaza Strip. Palestinian sources reported that Israeli boats that patrol the sea around-the-clock opened fire on fishing boats off the coast of Sudaniah in the northwest of the city as well as off the coast of central Gaza Strip, the area of Nusseirat, causing material damages but no injuries. The Israeli Occupation Army is targeting on a daily basis the Palestinian fishermen and their boats to prevent them from fishing and in turn, prevent them from their sole source of living and their families.
