One killed after cement mixer smashes into train in SW China

A truck driver was killed and two train passengers injured when a cement mixer smashed into a running train in a southwestern Chinese village Friday night, local authorities said Saturday.
The collision occurred at Longtan intersection in Santang Village of Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region at around 10 p.m. Friday, Xinhua quoted a source with the provincial railway administration as saying.
Rail tracks were damaged in the accident but the intersection had re-opened to automobiles as of Saturday morning, the source said.
The two injured were in hospital. The police are investigating the accident.
