A militant was killed in the town of Maisky, Kabardino-Balkaria, when a homemade bomb exploded in his car. Police detained another militant, but two of their accomplices succeeded in escaping, senior aide to the director of the regional Investigation Committee (SKP) Tatyana Nauzhokova told Itar-Tass on Wednesday. "The incident occurred in the town of Maisky at 18:30, Moscow time, on Tuesday. There were four people in a Lada Priora when the bomb exploded. The explosion killed a resident of the village of Dugulugbei, Baksan district. A Baksan resident was detained. Another two passengers in the car escaped", Nauzhokova said. Police found in the car five homemade bombs with a yield of three to seven kilogram of TNT and a magnetic mine.
