Chinese President Hu Jintao held talks with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and President Dmitry Medvedev during a short trip to Moscow to mark World War Two Victory Day, Reuters quotd officials as saying on Sunday. Putin held several hours of talks with Hu, including private one-on-one negotiations and dinner at his country retreat on Saturday evening, spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. Peskov declined to give details of the discussion except to say that they were substantive. Putin's right-hand man Igor Sechin, who is responsible for energy affairs and often deals with arms sales, was present for part of the talks. Ahead of the trip, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said Iran would be on the agenda during the Moscow talks. China, Russia and Brazil, each members of the UN Security Council, have acted as a counterweight to Britain, France and the United States who are pushing for new tough sanctions against Iran over its nuclear programme. -- SPA
