Romania indicts ex-PM Nastase on graft charges

Romanian prosecutors indicted former Prime Minister Adrian Nastase on Wednesday in a landmark corruption probe launched in 2006, charging him with taking bribes worth 630,000 euros ($817,200), Reuters reported.
The European Union has repeatedly criticised Romania for persistently poor results in tackling rampant corruption among top officials and called for more progress in judicial reforms.
Romania, the bloc's second poorest member, has yet to convict a minister for corruption and has attracted criticism for not going after big names.
