The Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh inaugurated here today the 14th meeting of Secretaries General of Councils of Shura and Ummah of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. In his inaugural speech, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh pointed out that the meeting aims to exchange viewpoints and proposals for the development of the performance of Arab Gulf councils, noting that the two tasks of every parliament include issuing legislations and laws and monitoring the performance. He wished that the meeting will result in recommendations to achieve the ambitions of the GCC leaders and peoples. On his part, the Secretary General of Majlis Al-Shura Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi said that the meeting stressed the Gulf continuing joint actions in the achievement of various projects and accomplishments over the past years in the fields of fruitful and constructive cooperation for the interest of the objectives of Gulf, Arab and Islamic states.
