Federal President of the Republic of Austria Dr. Heinz Fischer received at the presidential palace here today, the visiting Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Angari and the accompanying delegation with the presence of Prince Mansour bin Khalid Al Saud, Saudi ambassador to Austria. The minister conveyed to the president the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and in turn the Austrian President valued the highly positive role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the regional and international levels. During the meeting, they stressed the importance of closer ties of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom and Austria in the academic, scientific and cultural fields. On the other hand, Dr. Al-Angari has met the Austrian Federal Minister of Science and Research Dr. Beatrix Karl. During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries in the areas of academic and scientific research and the strengthening of cooperation and partnership between Saudi and Austrian universities.
