Bahrain's Shura Council has expressed its great appreciation for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for visiting his second country - the Kingdom of Bahrain, at an invitation of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Kingdom of Bahrain. A statement issued by the Council on Monday and reported by Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said that this historic visit came in culmination of strong, fraternal, and deep-rooted relations between the leaderships of the two countries and their brotherly peoples, noting that the visit will further enhance relations between the two countries in various fields and strengthen the progress and prosperity of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, and the positions of Arab and Islamic nations. The Council commended King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for his noble gesture and royal directive to build a medical city affiliated to the Arab Gulf University in Bahrain as a gift from the Saudi people to the GCC peoples. It also praised the effective contributions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its generous support for the projects of construction and development in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and other GCC, Arab and Islamic countries.
