An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale rocked Saumlaki in the eastern Indonesian province of Maluku on Saturday night. The epicenter of the quake which struck at 11.00 p.m. was in the sea 216 km northwest of Saumlaki at a depth of 111 km, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) said. It also said the quake did not trigger a tsunami warning. Saturday's temblor was the latest in a series of quakes hitting the town in the past few months, ANTARA reported.
