based Al-Nadwah praised the statement of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about the Arab Peace Initiative and said it is a positive development and prompts Washington to voice support to this Initiative in order to pave way for turning it into an International Peace Initiative. At a time when Hillary Clinton praised the Arab Peace Initiative, she urged Israeli Premier Netanyahu to demonstrate respect to the legal Palestinian ambitions through stopping settlement activities and meeting the humanitarian requirements in Gaza strip. "It is hoped that the statement of Hillary Clinton about the Arab Peace Initiative will develop into an official stand for supporting the Initiative which is in need of international support so as to bring about a comprehensive and just peace, the daily elaborated. "Until the initiative becomes an international initiative, there is no other option but to use pressure on Israel until it responds positively to the available peace opportunities," the daily said. "In the light of the fact that the Arab summits have voiced support to the initiative, it now awaits international support, and the statement of Hillary Clinton in this respect, constitutes a beginning for its activation," the daily added.
