Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, President of General Intelligence Presidency (GIP), the head of the delegation of Saudi Arabia to Nuclear Security Summit currently in progress in Washington, stressed that Saudi Arabia's position has been firm and clear that the Middle East region should be free from all weapons of mass destruction, especially nuclear weapons. In a comment to reporters on the sidelines of the Summit on Monday in a statement about imposing more sanctions on Iran regarding its nuclear program, the Prince said,” Brothers in Iran should be aware of the danger of the situation and deal with the situation very seriously. If they do not have anything to hide about their nuclear program, they should give an opportunity to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to inspect and demonstrate that their program is for peaceful purposes. " As for a statement about the possibility that Turkey and Egypt would raise at the Summit the subject of Israeli nuclear arms and the need to compel Israel to accede to the Treaty on Limitation of Nuclear Arms, Prince Muqrin said, "I heard on the subject from the media. If anything is done in this regard, we will talk about it."
