The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) have signed an agreement for financing a charitable endowments project in Sudan. The agreement was signed by IDB's Vice President for operations Birma Abu Bakr Sidbi and WAMY's Assistant Secretary General in Makkah province Dr Mohammed Badahdah. Under the agreement, the IDB will extend $ 8 million for financing the endowments project which will be completed within 30 months. The Khartoum-based project will include two nine storey towers, and its proceeds will be allocated for financing WAMY's activities in east Africa.
