The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has exerted great efforts in support of education in Mali through the establishment of two technical institutes for boys and girls. WAMY's Assistant Secretary General in Makkah region Dr. Mohammed bin Omar Badahdah pointed out that as many as 165 boys and 170 girls are studying in the institutes in Bamako, noting that the institutes have been teaching vocational training as well as a curriculum of Islamic education. On his part, the Director of WAMY's Office in Mali said that the educational efforts exerted by the Assembly in Mali have given Islamic charity, especially Saudi charitable works a good reputation in Mali and other African countries.
