Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) in cooperation with Saudi Credit and Saving Bank have launched a special program for financing heritage villages and towns in the provinces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A special report prepared by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said that agreements for financing Al-Ghat Heritage Village in Riyadh Province and Al-Ma'a Men in Asir Province have been signed so far, with an amount of SR 70 million for each village. According to the Commission, the development program of heritage villages has been one of the programs of architectural heritage adopted by the Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and a number of government bodies. It also represents an important economic source for developing the provinces and providing job opportunities in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier. --MORE
