The Committee of Review of Violations of Local Hajj Companies has recently issued punishments against 49 companies. Monitoring Committees affiliated to the Ministry of Hajj toured 233 companies and establishments licensed to serve pilgrims at home during the Hajj season of 1430H. The punishments included fines ranging between SR 10,000 and 50,000, financial compensation for the affected pilgrims, reduction of a quota of pilgrims licensed to be served by 10% and expulsion from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for non-citizens. The Committee also reviewed violations of 16 non-licensed campaigns and offices provided services for pilgrims. The Committee included delegates from Ministries of Hajj, Interior and Commerce and Industry.
