The Under Secretary of Ministry of Islamic Affairs for Mosques, Call and Guidance Affairs, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Sudairi said that the Ministry has completed a book containing speeches on the issues of intellectual security which will be distributed to Imams of mosques, indicating that the Ministry has established a website on this issue to be as a reference for preparing Friday sermons. In an address on Monday at the 5th session of "The Conference of Terrorism Between Intellectual Extremism and Extremist Ideology" currently in progress in Madinah, he said that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has prepared a five-year program for qualification of Imams of mosques intellectually, and has monitored more than 250,000 Friday sermons delivered in the mosques of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dealing with the issues of terrorism and ways of confronting deviant ideology. On his part, Dr Hussein Hadi Al-Awaji of the Islamic University in Madinah highlighted the role of the University in addressing terrorism intellectually and deviant ideology, as well as shedding light on approach of moderation, and calls for renunciation of violence and extremism.
