Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior patronized in Madinah on Sunday evening the opening ceremony of "The Conference of Terrorism Between Intellectual Extremism and Extremist Ideology" organized by the Islamic University of Madinah in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior. Addressing the Conference, Prince Naif said that the Conference is being held within the framework of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince, to combat extremism and terrorism which threatens human life, violates the sanctity of religion, and endangers the capabilities of individuals and the nation. He added, " Emanating from its religious and moral duties, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been in the lead in exposing the dangers of terrorism and intellectual extremism and in confronting them with the force and approach of deterrence. The Kingdom has been in the forefront of countries affected by intellectual extremism and extremist ideology, in which some of those who belong to the Kingdom have drifted, and have not pursued its approach and principles derived from the Holy Quran and Prophet's Sunnah based on moderation, justice, mercy, preservation of human dignity and the protection of human life and rights." Prince Naif wished the Conference all success in its efforts to counter extremist ideology and to protect individuals and the nation from its dangers and risks. --More
