based Al-Madinah said the Arab summit which ended its deliberations in the Libyan city of Sirte yesterday positively responded to the Arab aspirations as regards re-formulating the system of the Arab League, established more than 65 years. "If the idea of the proposed Arab Union attains success, then the Arab system will be developed into the system of confederal system which is similar to the European Union," said the paper, noting that all should voice support to such an idea and work for its success because it embodies the Arab dream for a unified Arab nation. "But the big question remains unresolved: Is it possible to realize such a dream in a short span?" "The deplorable problem of the Arabs is that they always fail to carry out their agreements. The Qatari Emir confessed before the summit of Sirte that no achievements were attained in the last session of the Arab summit, which is definitely an honest disclosure," the paper noted. --MORE
