Six Afghan civilians were killed in two roadside bomb blasts in southern Afghanistan, while five children were injured in a similar attack in the country's west, the Afghan Interior Ministry reported Sunday. Three civilians were killed in a homemade bomb explosion in Sangin district of southern province of Helmand on Saturday, the ministry statement said. Three other people were killed and two were injured when their vehicle was struck by another roadside bomb in Nawa district of the same province on Saturday, it said. The statement said that the victims, who were working for a private security firm, were civilians. In the western province of Herat, five children were injured when an anti-vehicle-mine was detonated in Anjeel district on Saturday, the statement was quoted as saying by DPA - The German Press Agency.
