The Ministry of Interior issued today the following statement: Further to the security confrontation previously announced on 29/10/1430H. that took place on 24/10/1430H. at Al-Hamra check point on the coast road in Jazan Region, where security men were shot by two persons who were disguised in women's clothing and were identified as Youssef Mohammed Mubarak Al-Jubairi Al-Shihri (Saudi National) and Raed Abdullah Salem Al-Dhaheri Al-Harbi (Saudi National) who infiltrated the southern border of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to carry out an imminent terrorist act but the incidence resulted in their death without being able to blow up the explosive belt they were wearing as well as the seizure of two belts ready to be used and 12 hand grenades and money including foreign currencies. The initial investigation into the incidence led to the arrest of seven persons who had coordinated the entry of criminals. The spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said that the initial investigation show that the deviant organization abroad is using elements inside the country to carry out its criminal plans. Some of them came to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia either under the pretext of looking for work or visiting the holy places or by infiltrating the border areas in order to facilitate communication with the misguided, recruit them for the deviant group, raise funds and implement instructions dictated to them from abroad that target the citizens, security and wealth of the country. --More
