Mohammed Ali Omran Al Shamsi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Thailand and Kasit Piromya, the Thai Foreign Minister have discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the potential for boosting them in different fields especially economic, trade and tourism. The Thai Foreign Minister hailed the support and assistance provided by the UAE to about ten million Thais Muslims, expressing Thai Government's thanks and gratitude to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Minister. Piromya also praised the distinguished relations between the two countries in various fields, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM". For his part, Al Shamsi confirmed UAE's keenness to strengthen relations with Thailand in many important areas, wishing the people of Thailand of stability and progress.
