Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari earlier announced the awarding of the Order to the OIC Secretary General, who is expected to meet him during the visit. He will also confer with Pakistani Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmoud Qureshi on bilateral relations between the OIC and Pakistan and other issues of common concern.
On March 24, Ihsanoglu will head for Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan within the Russian Federation. He will attend the inauguration ceremony of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
On March 26 - last leg of his tour, the Secretary General will proceed to the city of Sirt, Libya to attend the upcoming Arab summit.
