The Council of Saudi Chambers will host here tomorrow the first Saudi-Malaysian Business Council in its second session. It is aimed at activating and enhancing cooperation mechanism between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. The trade volume between the two countries is constantly increasing as it reflects the business and investment opportunities in all fields, said Salih Kamel, the Chair of the Council. The volume of trade exchange amounted to SR 12.5 billion in 2008 and the investment in the licensed joint Saudi-Malaysian ventures surged to 16 projects with total investment of SR 401 Million, he added. An expanded meeting of Malaysian businessmen with their Saudi counterparts was also held to discuss aspects of cooperation in the field of investment and trade exchange.
