Israeli relations, the Abha-based Al-Watan said these relations are currently passing a stage of uncertainty after the decision of the Zionist leadership to turn down the American initiative pertaining to resumption of indirect negotiation with the Palestinians. "By such irrational practices, the right-wing government in Tel Aviv has put hurdles before the visit of the US envoy to the middle east Senator George Mitchell, due to take place within the next few days, and at the same time Tel Aviv confirms its rejection of the efforts of US President Obama pertaining to reaching the solution of two states," the daily said, adding that Israel has been tough towards the American initiative and indifferent towards the Arab decision as regards indirect talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis for a period of four months which means that the Arab condition for freezing settlements in line with the Israeli pledge in 2003 has no place in the Israeli current policy. The daily pointed out that despite these facts Israel is capable of blocking any settlement due to the fact that it is the strongest one in the region and at the same time it is supported by the west notably the US. "Israeli has been rejecting all matters that may enable Mahmoud Abbas to present something to his people inspite of the remarkable concessions made by him. What shall Mitchell carry in his bag this time when he visits the region in the light of the Israeli extremist policy, notably after the assumption of power by Netanyahu," said the paper adding that such questions will be answered in the few upcoming days. --MORE
