Two French nationals kidnapped in the Central African Republic (CAR) have been freed after nearly four months in captivity, the French Foreign Ministry said Sunday, according to dpa. The two employees of the non-governmental organization Triangle were released in the Darfur region and are now on their way to the Sudanese capital of Khartoum, a statement said. There was no indication whether a ransom had been paid. A group of armed men seized the two aid workers on November 22 in the town of Birao, which lies close to the Chad and Sudan borders.
