Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja has won the Media Innovation Prize for the "Spirit of Positive Initiative Towards Supporting Prospects for Media Dialogue", awarded by Arab Media Forum. The Media Innovation Prize is an annual prize awarded to the most innovative leaders who are contributing directly and effectively to serving the system of Arab media, whether by direct efforts or effective decisions that contribute to overcoming the obstacles to the development of sectors of media. Dr. Khoja will be honored during the activities of the 7th Arab Media Forum which will be held in Kuwait from 25 to April 27, 2010 under the patronage of Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait. Madhi bin Abdullah Al-Khamis, Secretary General of the Arab Media Forum said that Dr. Khoja deserved this award by consensus of members of the Secretariat of the Media Innovative Prize in recognition of his great role in opening up prospects for media dialogue between the Ministry of Culture and Information and various media sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad, as well as opening up dialogues with media men on many media issues. "Contributions of the Saudi Minister of Culture and Information has greatly helped to narrow the information gap between us and the West, contributing to the changing of the stereotypical image of the Arab world in the West and presenting the Arab model interacting with the mechanisms of era and its technologies and using them in a positive way", Al-Khamis stressed.
