The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Yamamah Palace here today. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the talks he held with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman during his visit to the Kingdom. The King praised the depth of relations between the two countries and their keenness on enhancing such relations in a way that achieves the aspirations of the peoples of the two countries. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also briefed the Cabinet on the contacts and consultations that took place during the past few days with a number of leaders of brotherly countries and their envoys, including the message he sent to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad as well as his meeting with Prince Mohammed bin Talal, the Personal Representative of Jordan's King. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said Cabinet praised the political, economic and social implications of the speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at Majlis Al-Shura yesterday to mark the commencement of the second year session of the fifth term of Majlis Al-Shura. The Cabinet stressed that the address of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques summed up the vision of the Kingdom in light of the challenges faced by the Arab and Islamic worlds that require sincere efforts to achieve security and stability for all. Moreover, the Cabinet considered the visions and directives included in the address as an integrated program of action. Dr. Khoja also said the Cabinet noted the progress achieved by Majlis Al-Shura during the previous years in the field of development witnessed by the Kingdom. -- More
