Spanish police find nearly 100 kilos of ETA explosives

Spanish police today discovered 84
kilograms of explosives in an arms cache belonging to the militant
Basque separatist group ETA, dpa quoted police sources as saying.
The cache was one of five in the Basque region. Their locations
were revealed by ETA suspect Ibai Beobide who was arrested earlier
this month.
Beobide said ETA activists coordinated by him had a total of 150
kilos of explosives, according to police sources.
The suspect guided police to the forested area where the 84-
kilogram cache was found.
Police also located another store containing eight kilos of
explosives.
ETA has killed more than 820 people since 1968 in its campaign for
an independent Basque country.
