Speaker of Shura (Consultative) Council Dr Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh received here today President of Washington University Dr Mark Emmert, accompanied by a number of businessmen who were graduated from the University. Speaking on the occasion, Al Al-Sheikh highlighted the existing deep-rooted friendly relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America in various political, economic and cultural domains. He also briefed the delegation on the activities of the Shura council. On his part, Emmert hailed the role of the Shura Council in the process of development and praised the educational development in the Kingdom notably in the field of higher education pointing out to King Abdullah University for Sciences and Technology (KAUST) in this context.
