The great success of the Excellence in Journalism Award, in its first edition, prompted the Saudi Journalist Association (SJA) to launch today its second version of the Award in the field of intellectual property under the title of "Protection of intellectual property rights, is protection of the mind" in cooperation with Business Software Alliance (BSA), said Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al Hajlan, Secretary General of the Association. SJA began receiving nominations of the concerned Contestants since yesterday and this process will last until April 30, 2010, Al-Hajlan said. He noted that the award that is supervised by a specialized committee, has prompted others to propose other areas to promote linkage the SJA and its members. In the meantime, Al Hajlan announced the winners of the last year version of the Award. The recipients of the Award include Faisal Al-Abdulkarim, Mohammed Al-Bahlal, Hassan Al Ameer, Naeem Tamim Hakim, Abdul Latif Al-Otaibi, Saed Al Abyadh, Suad Zafir, Ahmed Al Hutan, Ibtihal AlSamarrai, Mayson Abu Bakr and Fadaa Al Shammari.
