The Swedish Armed Forces say two Swedish soldiers and a locally hired interpreter have been killed in northern Afghanistan. The armed forces say the soldiers were shot west of Mazar-e-Sharif and taken to a field hospital at Camp Marmal outside the city, AP reported. In brief statement Sunday it said a third Swedish soldier had been wounded. Sweden is part of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan and currently has around 455 troops there.
