A Yemeni-Somali talks are to be launched today in the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, the weekly 26 September reported. The talks are to be co-chaired by Yemeni Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and his Somali counterpart Ali Ahmed, who arrived in Sana'a on Wednesday. "The talks will focus on the situation in Somalia and the support for provisional government of Somalia in addition to the outcomes of the recent African summit," al-Qirbi told the weekly. During the talks, Yemen will renew its firm supportive attitude towards the Somali people, al-Qirbi said, adding that the Yemeni leadership is paying more attention to the Somali case.
