Bosnian Ambassador to the Kingdom, Razem colec described Saudi Arabia as a very strong friend to Bosnia, expressed appreciation for its stances, support of Bosnia mentioned with this regard to its reliefs to Bosnia, in all fields. The Islamic Scholar Council in his 600 anniversary of Islam presence to Bosnia and Herzegovina, has shortlisted the important events of interest to Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the period, the last war was the most crucial events in the life of the Muslims of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in those circumstances friends of Bosnia decided to extend assistance, in order to preserve the Islamic identity there, the Bosnian ambassador said in the occasion on conferring Bosnia first order to Prince Salman by the Grand Mufti of Bosnia in his recent visit to the Kingdom. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was the most prominent friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which provided most assistance in organizing a fundraising campaign through the Supreme fund raising Committee for the Muslims of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the chairmanship of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region. He added The Committee has implemented its task to the fullest. During the world, the Saudi assistance included food reliefs and medicine, construction of demolished houses for expelled refugees, as well as building hospitals and educational institutions and special attention to Bosnian orphans until they finish their basic education were implemented, Ambassador Razem Colec further said Prince Salman has been awarded the Bosnian Medal of the First Order in appreciation of his services for the development of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Islamic Scholars Council in Bosnia decided to give the award to Prince Salman in appreciation of his services in support of Islam and Muslims in Bosnia and his efforts to promote peace and coexistence in the country.
