The ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Hareth Silajech lauded the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of providing support for Bosnia and Herzegovina in all fields. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency to mark awarding Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, the Bosnian Medal for Islamic Activity of the first degree recently, the ambassador said the Kingdom was the most prominent friend of the Bosnian people during the war against Bosnians, providing invaluable assistance to help the Balkan state to survive. He recalled that Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz paid a visit to Bosnia at that critical time, sending a message on the importance of spreading peace and dialogue among the Bosnian people who consist of Muslims and non-Muslims. He said the Islamic Mashikha, who supervises the prize, selected Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz in recognition of the Kingdom's government and people's role and his personal role in supporting Muslims and Islam in Bosnia on one hand and dialogue and peace in Bosnia on the other. Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz's acceptance of the award is yet another evidence that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would remain a strong friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
