The United Arab Emirates' Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met here Sunday Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazin. They reviewed bilateral relations, as well as developments of the peace process and the efforts being made to resume it on the basis on two states solution, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM". Sheikh Abdullah told reporters after the meeting that the UAE would continue its support to the Palestinian President's efforts for national reconciliation and to the Palestinian stand which calls for halting the Israeli settlements before any Palestinian-Israeli negotiations. He urged pressure on Israel to stop construction of settlements to enable resumption of talks with the Palestinian side. Sheikh Abdullah also emphasized the importance of reconciliation among the Palestinians, urging Hamas to join PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) in signing the Egyptian document to achieve the reconciliation and to end the division among Palestinians.
