Part of Munich Airport in Germany was cleared and sealed today after a man who had triggered an explosives detector entered a departure terminal and could not be stopped, according to dpa. Hours later, police said they had not been able to find the man. Two levels of Terminal II at the airport were cleared during the search, which disrupted airport operations, delaying 17 flights. Every passenger and staffer in the area had to leave and wait to be searched. Police said a detector picked up signs of explosive in the man's laptop computer as it was being scanned, but by then the passenger had walked away into the secure area of the airport without waiting for the scan to finish. Police said they could still not say for sure if there had in fact been an explosive in the notebook. It appeared the man had been carrying no other luggage with him.
