King Abdul Aziz International Airport's southern terminal has a new look but the work is not yet over, Jamal Basyouni, terminal manager, said the work to expand the terminal by 16,000 square meters would take three more months to be fully completed. With 13 new gates – 6 for domestic, 6 for international and 1 for rush hours – new luggage paths, checkpoints, counters and more than 8 elevators, check-in and check out will be smoother and quicker for passengers. In all 65 counters will be added to the domestic and international sections. In the departure terminal, 18 ticket counters have been added, in addition to a waiting area and space for airlines offices. Much of the renovation work is already over. The entire ceiling and floor has been replaced, so also the luggage-moving straps. In the waiting area, the old offices, shops, bank branches, car-renting offices and restaurants have been upgraded. __
