Deliberations of an international conference on communications, which was inaugurated here last night under the patronage of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, began here today. The conference is organized under the motto of 'Towards a national communications industry that activates economy based on knowledge.' Minister of telecommunications and information technology Eng. Mohammed Jamil Mullah participated in the first session of the conference. Speaking on the occasion, the minister highlighted the big strides made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of telecommunications. The minister hoped that the Saudi universities and specialized scientific societies like the Saudi telecommunications Society will participate in all activities pertaining to telecommunications and information technology.
