The UAE-Russian Business Council met here today to explore mechanisms of further developing commercial and economic cooperation. Speaking at the meeting, Abdullah Sultan, Secretary General of the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), highlighted the vital role the private sector could play in further boosting relations of friendship between the two countries especially in trade in view of the series of bilateral cooperation agreements. According to him, the business friendly environment and legislations combined with political stability and security combine together to make the UAE a favorable investment destination. He called for strengthening the UAE-Russian strategic partnership by establishing more joint ventures and attracting Russian investment and expertise to the United Arab Emirates, WAM reported.
