The Saudi Tunisian Business Council at its fifth session held here today underlined the importance of enhancing trade exchange between the two countries, noting that the volume of trade exchange did not exceed SR 787 million in 2008. Dr Fahd Al-Sultan, the Council's Secretary General said Tunisia is a strategic partner of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia due to its distinguished geographical location and its proximity to the European Union. He called for benefiting from all available opportunities for the activation of exchange of trade between the two countries. He pointed out that the Tunisian investments in the Kingdom did not exceed SR 170 million despite the available opportunities for the Tunisian businessmen to implement joint projects with their Saudi counterparts. --MORE
