The Fourth session of the Saudi-Chinese Joint Commission began here today under the co-chairmanship of Minister of Finance Dr Ibrahim Al-Assaf and Chinese Trade Minister Chen Deming. In an address at the session, Dr. Al-Assaf highlighted the role of the Commission in cementing bilateral relations in the economic, trade, technical and investment domains. Dr Al-Assaf recalled the visit to china in 2006 by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz and the visits to the Kingdom by the Chinese President in 2006 and 2009 and the agreements signed on the fringes of these visits. In 2008, Dr Al-Assaf said the volume of trade exchanges between the two countries amounted to more than $40 billion. --MORE
